Chico's began in 1983 as a small boutique selling Mexican folk art on Sanibel Island, Florida. When the founders discovered a sweater that flattered everyone, they pivoted the business and changed retail. Rich colors, bold prints, artisanal details, problem-solving styles, and personal stylists built a lasting customer connection. Today there are more than 600 Chico's boutiques nationwide, plus international franchise partners and a monthly mailer.
